Rabanal to El Acebo. Day 24

Another marvelous day climbing in the mountains.

Breakfast before leaving. TOAST!!  Have not had toast since I was at home. Left later than usual today and walked with my friends today. It was a nice relaxing day. Cindy called ahead and got us reservations at this albergue. We have a triple room with real beds, sheets and towels!  Bathroom is downstairs in the dorm, but that's life.  Luxury for 11 euro each.
Sunrise.
Fontandabon. The stop after Rabanal.
Leaving Fontandabon.
Cruz  de Ferro. This is where one leaves a stone as a symbol of leaving behind one's burdens.

A fashion statement... Aren't I?  You should see the tan on the back of my legs -- it's really something.
A very cool place to stop.
Lots of signposts.
The name of this spot
Not far to go now relatively speaking.
The view from our rest stop.
Our rest stop.  Renee, IZ, Michele and Sarah.
Approaching El Acebo.
WOW a triple. Sheets and towels. We had our own bathroom but didn't realize until this morning!
The back garden.
A wonderful lunch.
Fabulous shrimp.
A blurry moon and first star. The night sky is amazing up here away from residual light.
